On May 9, 2025, the Postal Board of Governors announced the selection of David Steiner as the next Postmaster General (PMG). Steiner is now going through an internal vetting process and is expected to assume the position sometime in July.
As the USPS Board of Governors confirms David Steiner as the next Postmaster General, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association urges him to fully embrace that legacy and the values that define it.
The board anticipates Steiner will formally join the organization in July, assuming his successful completion of the ethics and security clearance vetting processes.
Lomangino has been “involved” in multiple recycling and waste management companies in Florida, including Southern Waste Systems and LGL Recycling, according to a report by E&E News by Politico.

The General Counsel of the United States Postal Service has certified that the meeting may be closed under the Government in the Sunshine Act.
