USPS is continuing to promote Marketing Mail as an effective method for businesses to promote their products and services to consumers, Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan reports in her latest âBusiness Focusâ video.
âWe know direct mail works. It increases return on investment for the sender and has value for the receiver,â Brennan says. âHard copy combined with digital, or integrated marketing campaigns, have proven most effective.â
In addition to boosting the value of mail, USPS is working to grow its package service, although it faces competition from other shippers.
To retain customers and attract new ones, the Postmaster General calls on employees to provide consistent and reliable service, including timely and accurate package scanning.
Brennan also discusses several other topics, including the recent additions to the USPS Board of Governors, new pricing, the importance of timely Election Mail and Political Mail processing, the recent Postal Customer Council Week events, and the Postal Serviceâs efforts to recover from this fallâs hurricanes.
Additionally, she addresses the continued need for postal reform legislation and a favorable outcome from the Postal Regulatory Commissionâs 10-year price review.
âWith comprehensive legislative and regulatory reforms, we can stabilize our financial condition and have a runway to consider and enact additional longer-term public policy solutions that will return the organization to financial stability,â Brennan says.
