[maxgallery id=”46367″]Twenty employees graduated this week from a program that will help the Postal Service enhance its information security capabilities and develop high-demand cybersecurity talent from within.

The employees are part of Chief Information Officer Kristin A. Seaver’s organization. They received certificates through the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Academy, a comprehensive 12-week training program.

“These graduates have successfully completed a challenging curriculum that requires a mastery of key cybersecurity concepts and technology tools,” said CISO and Digital Solutions VP Randy Miskanic.

“Their enhanced skills will enable our team to protect Postal Service networks from cybersecurity threats facing our organization.”

The curriculum includes virtual and in-person courses on topics such as insider threats, incident response, digital forensics and network monitoring, as well as modules on leadership and team-work skills. Graduates received new role assignments within USPS CISO.

“The CISO Academy has better equipped us to do our jobs,” said CISO Academy graduate Richard Williams. “It also enables job mobility because trainees understand the goals of the entire organization.”
