PMG Megan J. Brennan: A season of success

The following message is from PMG Megan J. Brennan:

Across the entire Postal Service, from Post Offices and Customer Care Centers to processing centers, from vehicle maintenance facilities to administrative and sales offices, from headquarters to every area and district office, everyone is working hard to make this season a success — and we are uniquely positioned to deliver. We have significant achievements to be proud of this year. We’ve made large strides to improve the customer experience, to better compete for business, and to earn our customers’ trust.

I thank you for serving our customers and our community so well. The Postal Service is a proud organization with a long history and bright future ahead. I know you feel the same sense of pride as I do about our mission, what we stand for and all that we accomplished in 2016, improving customer service at every touch-point. Due to your efforts, no other shipper delivers more online purchases to the home than the Postal Service. We are delivering America’s holiday cards and packages when it matters the most, keeping our customers at the heart of all we do.

The holidays are a time of celebration, joy and togetherness and we hope that these sentiments will be enjoyed by everyone throughout the holiday season. On behalf of our executive leadership team, I thank you for your commitment to the Postal Service. I’m proud of the work you do for our customers.

Best wishes to you and your family for a happy, healthy and safe holiday season and new year.

Thank you for all you do.

Bullshit!! Retired in ’92, I’m appalled at the delayed mail, poor service, understaffing at windows, ridiculously reduced hours at rural post offices, all issues I’ve experienced. Friends, Family & neighbors; knowing where we worked before retiring, “shower” me with their complaints as described above. Valid complaints! Delayed mail being the #1 complaint. Service! Our ONLY product! And, current postal management in it’s ill advised “revised” delivery standards, is destroying SERVICE! We used to take pride in clearing the floor for delivery every day ensuring prompt delivery. No more! It’s your numbers that count with you now! You, the PMG, your predecessor, and your Hq. staff may as well be on the payroll of Members of Congress bent on privatization. Postal management is playing right into their hands! Postal management at L’Enfant Plaza are the Enemy Within The U.S. Postal Service!! I used to be proud to be able to say that I was a U.S. postal worker. No more! I’m embarrassed over the deterioration of Service. I don’t want anyone to know where I retired from anymore. If asked, I say; “I don’t remember”. So, as to your “message”; Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining!
