Letter to the Editor – Jan 21, 2017
DEAR EDITOR:
I am a disabled veteran and depend on the Veterans Administration to provide my pharmacy when needed.I see local cardiologists at the Lima St. Rita’s Medical Center and they provide me with prescriptions for the medications that I need to treat my conditions.
Last Friday, I Faxed a prescription from a local office supplier that has a FAX service at 2 p.m. to the VA for medication prescribed by my cardiologist and am able to track the prescription by “My Healthy Vet Program.”
I checked on Saturday morning somewhere around noon and found that my prescription for medication was sent by the VA and was in Columbus, Ohio at 10:48 pm Friday night and that it had been delivered to my front doorstep at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
We often fault the VA for being inactive in doing their job and, often times lay a lot of blame on the United States Postal Department for not delivering on a timely basis, but this sure wasn’t the case for me.
I want to compliment both agencies for their efficient and prompt work.
Thanks for a job well done and keep up the good work.
