    At the recent retiree zoom it was stated that a compromise has been presented that the President supports. Mark was not on the zoom.

    UPDATE: JUNE 9, 2022
    FROM WHAT I’M HEARING, THIS RESOLUTION WILL NOT HAVE ENOUGH SUPPORT AT CONVENTION TO PASS.

    MY THOUGHTS:
    Maybe the few retiree delegates that we DO have can get some balls and go to the podium and say they are going to recommend to ALL retiree chapters that we will no longer be participating in contributing to APWU COPA if this resolution is denied. I will help get the word out. We need to fend for ourselves and spend money on candidates who solely support issues of utmost importance to Retirees. Don’t need a resolution for that and it will certainly get their attention.

    We’ve dicked around with this representational resolution long enough (several years) and its gonna go nowhere as long as Dimondstein is at the helm – one of the many reasons I will be voting John Marcotte for APWU President.

    Face it, the general membership currently working are not concerned with OUR issues – at least not enough to allow us fair representation at Convention. I say screw it and let’s start taking care of ourselves. Retirees contribute an enormous amount of money every year to COPA and National spends that money on candidates who many times are not concerned with our (retirees’) best interests.
