Subject: EXECUTIVE ORDER ON PROTECTING WORKER HEALTH AND SAFETY

Union Family,

President Biden issued an Executive Order on Protecting Worker Safety. This is a significant executive order as it instructs OSHA to issue and address the COVID-19 issues surrounding worker safety. The USPS is the only government agency that is subject to regulation by OSHA so this executive order will apply to the USPS.

The executive order can be found and read in its entirety here: EXECUTIVE ORDER ON PROTECTING WORKER HEALTH AND SAFETY. Section 2 of the order is particularly important to improve worker safety.

This is a complete change from the Trump Administration that had directed OSHA to take a relative “hands off” approach to worker safety—especially concerning COVID-19. We expect guidance to be issued that can significantly improve worker safety and management accountability at the USPS within the coming weeks. Once any standards or instructions are issued by OSHA we will reach back out to the field.

Please Disseminate.

Looking through all the exaggerated numbers the actual number of jobs lost is 1,000. Permanent Union jobs after construction is completed would be 50 jobs. The beneficiaries of this project are Canada and Big Oil.

Biden stood up for the environment and Native Americans have a voice at the table.

Folks like Ted Nugent need to stop using the multiplying bs and saying it cost 12,000 jobs.

Unions finally have a friend in the White House.

What about stopping the Keystone Pipeline and having 1000’s of Union workers losing jobs?
