I would like to know where it is stated that if you take the new RMSS tests, the new scores supercedes any old MSS scores. I was worried about plant closings and couldn’t find my ET-10 score so I took the RMSS tests. Of course after I got my scores in the mail I found my old score. Then I was notified thast the new RMSS test scores supercede the old MSS scores. Just my luck, buck I can’t find it written any where.

Here is the language I was sent:
Q11. Can an employee with an (“old process”) MSS eligible rating update their rating?
A: Yes, however the resulting RMSS score will rank the employee on the register below the (“old process”) MSS Incraft register employees. Their (“old process”) MSS Incraft register ranking would be removed from the register. All updates are done through the RMSS.
Again, as I said. Sucks to be me!!!

I was notified by Maintenance Director Raymer that the new scores DO supersede the old scores. Sucks for me.

According to the EL-304, the RMSS scores should have never been allowed, as you had a standing under the MSS:
282.4 Update Examination
The update examination:
a. Must be given according to the general rules for examination
disseminated by PAS MSS.
b. Must be given after the date on which the employee requested an
update.
Next, the HR MSS Coordinator will compare the employee’s latest
examination results to previous results to determine if the employee’s rating
has improved. If so, the new rating is used to establish the employee’s
position on the PER. Any new rating with a lower score shall be ignored and
the current score will remain.
As an RMSS score is in fact lower than any MSS score, I’d use that argument and try to get teh RMSS score tossed. HR should have had your MSS score.

No, I had a valid In-Craft score but I could not find it and called a few places and they couldn’t find it either. As soon as I got my new RMSS scores, I found the old score. I’ve been told that the new scores supersede the old score, so it would have been better if I didn’t take the ET-10 test.

Were your old ET-10 scores for an entrance exam?
