“I wholeheartedly endorse Vance Zimmerman for APWU’s Industrial Relations Director. His experience as a strong aggressive representative for the union and his loyalty to putting the members first is why I have asked him to join the Members Unity Team. The union will be stronger if he is elected as the Industrial Relations Director. I am asking all my supporters to vote for Vance Zimmerman in the upcoming union election.”
Solidarity,

It is with great sadness that I make this post. On September 1, 2016 Joe Ramey passed away unexpectedly with a blood clot from a recent knee surgery. Joe was only 56 years old. Joe worked tirelessly for the members of the Louisville Local in the clerk and maintenance craft. Joe always stood up for enforcing the contract and the members. Joe filed the local grievance that was heard in national arbitration concerning Article 32 local notification. Joe was a great man. My heart is very heavy knowing that Joe is gone. R.I.P. Brother.

In February of 2016, I called Industrial Relations Director Brother Tony McKinnon concerning chairs on the SPSS machines. He spoke to me eveytime I called, he helped with the ergonomics (1767) grievance and he forwarded an ergonomic report to me that was conducted by Steve Vaughan, APWU’s Osha certified safety specialist. I ended up turning in 33 1767’s. August of 2016 Brother Tony filed a National dispute for chairs on the SPSS. He provided me with quality membership service. As a 35 yr. member and former CCD of local 543. I AM SUPORRTING TONY MCKINNON.

I have had the honor and privilege to see Vance’s work in person as a maintenance steward for the Louisville Local 4. His tireless efforts on our behalf as a Maintenance NBA has benefitted our members tremendously and I highly recommend the talents he offers as a candidate in this election. The truly sad part of Vance Zimmerman running for APWU Industrial Relations Director is that we are losing his representation in arbitrations for Louisville. But then again, our loss will be the nation’s gain. Vote Vance Zimmerman for Industrial Relations Director!
