Do level 8 automotive technicians work on diesel trucks like 7 and 9 tons? If not, is there a bulletin on it?
Thanks

There is nothing I’m aware of that includes or precludes level 8’s from working on diesel vehicles. In our shop, the level 9s work on them (me and another guy), but that is by choice. Qualifications would come into play here. Level 9 and 10 job descriptions say they are responsible for making the most complex repairs. In this instance, you could be expected to make whatever repairs, but if you needed help or guidance, you could rely on a more seasoned tech. Training would also be of the most importance. How could you be required to service air brakes, if you’ve never been trained on them before?
Hope this helps. If not, be more specific in your question.
