JEFFERSON COUNTY – Neither snow nor rain nor floods can keep people from getting their mail.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says Trumbull Bridge was closed because of flooding, making travel around the area difficult at this time.
So the U.S. Postal Service is going old-school – using a wheelbarrow to deliver mail until the water recedes enough for the bridge to reopen, the sheriff’s office said.
But until they can complete their rounds, residents near the bridge may have to wait longer than usual for their mail.
