USPS: Vaccine update – Eligibility to expand soon

Jose Martinez, a Lehigh Acres, FL, rural carrier, receives a COVID-19 vaccination shot recently.

In most states, every worker and resident who is age 16 or older will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination by April 19.

The Postal Service is reminding employees to not delay pursuing access to these vaccines if they want to be vaccinated.

The organization’s goal is for everyone to be able to get a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible, if they choose to do so.

The Postal Service urges employees to review information on their state and local public health websites, sign up for alerts and schedule a COVID-19 vaccination at the first available opportunity for those who want to be vaccinated.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website has more information, including a tool that allows users to search for local, state and tribal health departments.
