Subject: Unilateral Update to USPS Mask PolicyDeputy Postmaster General Tulino put out the attached policy. It states in the policy:
“This policy update has been shared with the leadership of our national unions and other stakeholders.”
There were discussions with the APWU. However, we objected to the policy be implemented at this time. It was issued without APWU agreement.
We still encourage all employees to wear masks when they cannot socially distance—vaccinated or not. There has been a recent spike in COVID-19 cases with the Delta Variant. Keeping you healthy and safe is our first priority.
