In his latest video message, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy thanks employees for their work during the recent holiday season.

The Postal Service accepted more than 13.2 billion letters, cards, flats and packages between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, up from 12.7 billion during the same period one year earlier.

DeJoy also reports the organization has been entrusted to deliver COVID-19 test kits to the American public.

“We should all be very proud to fulfill our mission of service to the nation as part of this important public health initiative,” he says.

Other topics addressed during the video include the importance of staying safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

The video, released Jan. 26, is available on Link and other postal websites and will be shown to employees throughout the organization this week and next.
