PS Form 8076, Authorization to Hold Mail, has been updated.

The new version of the form, which has a January 2020 print date, outlines additional options for customers to file their requests online at usps.com or through the USPS mobile application.

The front of the updated form is addressed to “Your Local Post Office” and has a line for city, state and ZIP Code, which will help to ensure the form is sent to the correct office for processing.

The back of the form outlines the options for filing online, as well as additional fields for customers to provide their email addresses and phone numbers if the local Post Office needs to contact the customer regarding the request.

Filing Hold Mail requests online is beneficial to customers as well as USPS. When requests are filed online, customers can make changes to their requests if needed, and the Postal Service receives a notification to alert the carrier of the request.
