USPS: Postal Inspectors ‘don’t play around’ – Three postal robbers sentenced

Chance_go_to_jail (November 4, 2014) Denver Postal Inspectors recently arrested three suspects who robbed a USPS collections driver at knifepoint.

Inspectors used witness descriptions and surveillance footage from several sources to charge the criminals, who eventually pleaded guilty.

U.S. District Judge John Kane sentenced two of the robbers to five years each in a federal prison and three years of community supervision. A third suspect received a seven-year sentence.

Kane warned the robbers: “If you continue your life of crime, you should be aware that Postal Inspectors have the highest rate of arrest of all the federal law enforcement agencies. … [S]tay away from the Postal Service. They don’t play around.”
