The following message is from PMG Megan J. Brennan:
As 2017 draws to a close, I want to thank all Postal Service employees for delivering a strong performance, competing for customers every day, and serving the American public so well throughout the year.
Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, we will deliver more than 15 billion pieces of mail — including 850 million packages. As we deliver the nation’s cards and gifts this holiday season, we earn the trust that helps us earn our customer’s business for the year to come. Whether you process and deliver mail and packages or support our customer service mission through another important role — I appreciate all you do to ensure that we meet the high expectations of the public during our busiest time of the year.
In the coming year, we can look forward to continued momentum in launching new products and services, improving the experience of our customers, and elevating our service performance. As an organization, we continue to invest in our future — our people, our systems and our infrastructure — to better serve the public and the nation.
It is a testament to your dedication that we compete so effectively in a dynamic marketplace, that we play such an integral role in American commerce and society, and that we deliver more online purchases to American homes than any other shipper.
On behalf of our executive leadership team, thank you for your commitment to the Postal Service and our customers. Have a safe and happy holiday season, and enjoy your families and loved ones.
