An updated course on facility security is now available on the Learning Management System training site.
Course 10023745 provides security control officers (SCOs) with fundamental information about facility security, asset protection and risk management.
SCOs, who are designated security employees at postal facilities, are encouraged to take the course to increase their understanding of their roles and responsibilities. They’ll learn how to identify security gaps at facilities and take action to protect Postal Service employees and property.
The Postal Inspection Service, which helped develop the course, has also updated Poster 150, You’re Only as Strong as Your Weakest Link, which may be ordered from the Topeka Material Distribution Center.
The poster offers a space for SCOs to print their names and phone numbers so employees know who to contact if they have security concerns at their facility.
