USPS: June is LGBT Pride Month

June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month, an annual observance of the history of gay rights and related movements.

The Postal Service recognizes the contributions of LGBT people and the importance of fostering diversity and inclusion, including supporting LGBT-friendly workplaces.

Last month, the Postal Service honored Harvey Milk, one of the nation’s first openly gay elected officials, by issuing a Forever Stamp in his memory.
