The Postal Service will deliver packages on Sundays during the holiday season, starting this weekend.

USPS shifted this week to a 7-day delivery schedule in more than 100 cities and high-volume areas, including New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas and St. Louis. PMG Pat Donahoe announced the holiday schedule Nov. 6.

The Postal Service expects to deliver between 450 million and 470 million packages during the holidays, up roughly 12 percent from last year.
