ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHAM) – ‘Tis the season for new hiring at the United States Postal Service.

The USPS will be hiring 500 seasonal workers in the Rochester area to help handle the extra packages and letters during the upcoming holiday season.

The jobs will mostly begin in mid-November and work through mid-January. The pay rate will be $15 an hour.

Postal support employees, city carrier assistants and rural carrier assistants are all being hired across the Rochester area.
