ADA — The U.S. Postal Service will sponsor a free Postal Job Fair at the Ada Post Office, 131 E. 12th Ada, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 29.

Applicants should expect to spend approximately one hour to complete the application process. Hands-on assistance with the Postal Service’s online application process will be available to ensure applications are submitted on the spot.

The Postal Service is now accepting applications for Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) for the Ada Post Office. The Postal Service will fill up to 8 positions that are available at the Ada Post Office. Scheduled work days for these positions will normally be Saturday, with an average 8-16 hour work week for RCAs.  Salary for the RCA position is $16.26 per hour.

The RCA positions are non-career, with limited benefits, but can lead to rewarding career appointments with the full benefits of a federal employee.

For people unable to attend the job fair, Postal Service job positions are being announced and posted online at www.usps.com/employment  under the “search jobs and apply online section.”

Local jobs and other positions across the state are posted weekly. Anyone wishing to apply for a specific job must do so within the job announcement period. The Postal Service encourages applicants to check the web page often to keep up with any changes in various position openings.
