PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A United States Postal Service employee suffered injuries early Thursday morning when her arm got caught inside a “roller” at the main Portland post office, firefighters said.

Lt. Rich Chatman, a fire spokesman, said firefighters were dispatched to the facility on a report that the woman’s arm had been caught in the roller of some type of machinery. Specific details were not immediately available.

The woman was freed at 4:18 a.m., Chatman said. The woman was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center to be checked out by doctors. It’s not clear how serious her injury is, nor what caused the injury in the first place.

More information will be posted when it is available.
