U.S. Postal Service hiring in Washington and Idaho

6-21-2013+USPS+now+hiringThe U.S. Postal Service is hiring for new non-career positions at postal facilities in Washington and northern Idaho.

Positions available include city carrier assistants that deliver mail from post offices; postal support employees that work in post offices and mail handler assistants that work in mail processing facilities.

These jobs could lead to career positions.

Applicants must pass postal exam 473, be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate. Background checks and drug tests will be conducted. Veterans Preference will be honored.

Starting pay range is $14.03 to $15.26 an hour and there are limited employee benefits in the first year of employment. Hours of work will vary depending on mail volume.

Applicants applying for the city carrier assistant position must have a valid driver’s license and at least two years documented driving experience.
