Maybe it is long overdue for everyone to look a little closer at what the APWU Executive Board is doing to MVS, Clerks, Maintenance Craft and all of our retirees.
Our President is a proud Socialist first, last and always. He is an authoritarian in his position as President, if you listen to past NEB members and others.
After reading this article (from July 2022), I hope that you will start seeing the facts and math connecting the stunning silence from our “Leaders” on the withdrawal of us from the FEHB, the lack of action against the 10 year plan and the sudden open invitation to have non-postal employees driving trucks, pre-sorting mail & working on machines in non-postal mail processing facilities. The facts are there & nobody is even trying to hide it anymore.
I’ve been bitching for a few years now to anyone who will listen about our national executive board not seeing the Clerk Craft as the lifeblood of the APWU moving forward. I was convinced 2013-2015.
Now, I hope others will start to comprehend what I have been screeching about.
Why are our national unions “representing” USPS Craft employees all silent on our pullout from the FEHBP?
Why are our national unions silent on their obvious support of DeJoy’s 10 Year Plan?
This should answer those questions and so many more.
Group Insurance plans are a cash cow for every community organization out there. Unions are no different.
Why on earth would our union not want to open up their insurance customer base to non-federal employees?
I’m telling you, guys, there is a big glob of shite sliding down the pipe and it’s going to splash right in the pool of Rural America’s USPS Clerk & Maintenance Craft employees…. but for now, the MVS may be first.
