Great message Brother Vern, I agree 100% and urge you to keep speaking your thoughts and opinions here and everywhere! It seems you clearly see through all of the bullshit! Amazes me that you are trying to help and others are trying to berate and/or silence you because you didn’t see things their way.

APWU HQ better wake up to the fact that not all of us are good little sheep that they can manipulate. APWU HQ consists of men and women who, like me and everyone else, are not infallible. I’ve been running this site for 26 years and HQ has labeled me as a “scab,” a “union busting creep,” and even sicced their lawyers on me – a dues paying member! Of course I prevailed because they were wrong but they liked to play tough guy. All I did was tell the lawyers to pound sand (to go fuck themselves). Guys like me and you, We will continue to fight on, voice our opinions and foster respectable communications “in kind” on many platforms.

Partisan political bickering is getting a little tiresome, especially between members on this site. And this recent comment by Fred was a blatant attempt at shaming fellow union members for their political and other beliefs – truly unconscionable. The old “if I can’t convince them to my way of thinking, I’ll shame them” crap is frustratingly obnoxious and juvenile.

Perhaps some (Fred Et al.) need to be reminded of:

    APWU MEMBERS’ BILL OF RIGHTS
    1. Every member has the right to be respected as a human being.
    2. Every member has the right to be respected as a brother or sister of this Union.
    3. Every member has the right to freedom of speech and the right to be heard.
    4. Every member has the right to the freedom to listen.
    5. Every member has the right to the freedom of the press.
    6. Every member has the right to participate in the activities of this Union.
    7. Members shall not be denied the right to seek any office or the right to vote in this Union because of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, nationality, handicap, political affiliation, age or religion.
    8. Every member has the right to support the candidate of his/her choice and to participate in that right with others.
    9. Every member has the right to a fair trial, to be represented by an individual of his or her choice and to proper appeal procedures.
    10. Every member has the right to be secure in his or her basic rights without fear of political, economic, physical or psychological intimidation.

    Have a nice day everybody!

    Vernon,

I won’t waste my time. When it all goes away and you’re looking for someone to blame, Look in the mirror.
Joe Biden wasn’t the PMG. Trumps biggest donor was. Now his biggest donor Musk is finishing the job.

Fred, Bush started this process but the worst damage I have witnessed to our service, customers and employees took place while Joe Biden was in the White House for 3 terms. What did the DNC do to slow the roll? Nada.

    Respectfully, Vernon Davidson Jr

    My Union Brother,

The bottom line if you voted for Trump you only have yourself to blame if the USPS is privatized. Do you people understand Dejoy was the setup man. There was never a ten year plan. There was a plan to consolidate into the Sort and Delivery Centers so that when Trump got back in everything was in place to privatize.

Retail prices are up above the inflation level. UPS is ending their contracts with Amazon this year. The critical part of USPS is the delivery aspect.

The Unions have a strong argument to fight this but it could get tied up in the courts, much like the NRP case that has dragged on for 16 years. In the meantime there could be large numbers of jobs cut and/or numerous non career employees brought in.

It is also no coincidence that the APWU and the NALC will need to go to Interest Arbitration for a new contract.
The Members can vote for whoever you want in an election, but you have to realize elections have consequences.
Union Members nationwide have or will lose their jobs in 2025. Maybe they will finally realize they were fooled by Trump. Trump wants to make America great again for the $ Billionaires. His supporters will sleep good at night because he eliminated abortions and took down the dozen or so of transgender athletes in college sports. I just hope not too many more will join the homeless population. Best of Luck!
