Can postal employees stay in off-campus housing while at NCED?

Has anyone had any luck staying somewhere other than the NCED Bedbug special?

With all the continuing issues that people are having with no water, bedbugs and other bugs, poor cooling and housekeeping concerns, I would like to be able to stay at another hotel or Airbnb and be able to use the money the USPS pays for our rooms.

    You can stay wherever you want but the postal service isn’t going to pay for it. Just have to be on time for class. The water was off one day (approx 12 hours and they gave us notice…. except that it didn’t say anything about the air conditioning), not a long event and they had water and Air conditioning next door at the MLC. If you have or seen bed bugs then contact the hotel and have them move you. In the twelve times I have been here with both Marriott and Aramark, I personally haven’t seen any, but I always check my bed and around it before I go in it. Every hotel has that issue, especially down south; you just need to be on the lookout for it and take precautions.
