Sen. Claire McCaskill calls on USPS to explain complaints of poor service

Senators Claire McCaskill and Heidi Heitkamp

By Jim Cunningham – May 8, 2017
Two senators are checking on complaints about poor service from the U.S. Postal Service, days after KMBZ News aired a story about persistent problems in Kansas City’s Northland.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) and Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) are stepping up to address concerns about the accuracy of delivery data from the USPS.

Sen. McCaskill released a statement saying they are calling for answers on what the USPS is doing to improve mail delivery throughout the country, especially rural communities. McCaskill also indicated the postal service needs to ensure its delivery data accurately reflect customers’ experiences.

Too many customers are reporting unreasonable delays, with mail taking as much as a week longer than its supposed to take, Sen. McCaskill said.

Both Senators are requesting a report from the Government Accountability Office that would investigate how USPS holds its employees accountable for accurately scanning the mail at appropriate points in the delivery system. The GAO would also be asked to determine whether there are informal or formal practices that result in employee misconduct.

The USPS was infiltrated by a dark force of rogue agents, who have disavowed their oath to the Constitution, and all postal procedures. These rogue double agents (eas)operate under a separate context which they have created for themselves, in which they have assumed authority over the entity(USPS) that has given them their authority in the first place. This rogue nation of double agents, operating under this assumed or assumptive authority, do so in a manner which is in complete disregard of, and total misappropriation of postal policies for the purpose of self gain. The same is true when it comes to the issuance of discipline amongst their “colleagues”. The same perpetual violators, now use these same methods in reverse to protect one another from suffering any form of liabilities for their purposeful misappropriations. All are guilty of wrongdoing, therefore will never be able to hold each other liable. A true oxy moronic scenario that plays out everyday. Until you remove this dark network that operates postalwide, you’ll continue to have this institution of under performance. The worst part of it all is, you know exactly what it is, but your hands are tied. So why don’t you just say that?

If you really want to get to the bottom of the Post Office’s problems then start at the top. We have a onus that congress caused by making the USPS fund future employees retirement now. Managers for the most part are not held accountable for their actions they just transfer them somewhere else. Managers tend to treat the rank and file like slaves. The LLVs are falling apart and are getting if not already unsafe.

I’m a City Carrier in the North Land. This seem to be a one sided target where management gets to put their spin on everything and pass the blame on the carriers. If you really want the truth talk to the carriers or their spouse who are not afraid of upper management. It is a disgrace how management lies due to their fear of their bosses. If the real truth is wanted then do a real investigation not the sugar coated ones the Post Office is good for. And boy, the fraud, waste and abuse is criminal. I guess I will wait and see if this is just another one day spotlight issue or if my Sen. McCaskill really wants to get to the truth and then do something about it.
