I received an email on January 9, 2015:
“I thought that you might like to know, that the Santa Ana District has decided to once again, transport all of Saturday’s collection mail, down to Margaret Sellers P&DC in San Diego. This mail consists of all of Industry, Anaheim, and Torrance, as well as Santa Ana P&DC collection mail. They tried this experiment last summer, and it failed miserably, but now that they have changed the delivery standards to 2 days, they don’t care. This is approximately 85 miles, and 2 hours, to transport this mail. They will have to change SDO’s and/or work assignments, as they go to a skeletal work force on Saturday. So here’s more delaying the mail.”
A follow up email was received on January 14, 2015:
“I mentioned this to you a while back, but now I have written confirmation of the changes. See: January 12 Santa Ana P&DC Employee Stand Up Talk“
