    Jim,

    Yes, you will receive the back pay. It should be in the form of physical check that it sent to the last office that you was employed at. At that point, Management can contact you (via phone) to inform you that the check is at the office. You should have the option of picking up the check or having it mailed to you. Prior to you retiring, you should make sure that your Postmaster and/or SDO have your contact information and inform them that you will be looking to reach out to them to discuss how you would like to receive your back pay check (if applicable).
