    The USPS’s current position is that only non-bargaining unit employees have veterans preference rights in an excessing event. To suggest a veteran’s right is not applicable to a veteran who is a part of the collective bargaining unit is abhorrent and needs to be fixed.

    Disabled veterans and their veterans preference rights would serve to be a powerful means to combat excessing and consolidations. We can all see where we are heading. Politicians are largely onboard when it comes to helping those who served and still serve our country.

    How would you approach congressional members of both parties to gain bipartisan support for this legislation that would benefit ALL postal workers?
