Postal Service retail sites testing receipt ads

Postal Service retail sites are testing the effectiveness of advertising on paper receipts.

More than 200 sites across the nation are determining if ads on the back of standard receipts can raise awareness of USPS products and help cut printing costs.

The test includes URLs to help track the number of visits to the My USPS and PO Box sites. Color advertisements will also be included in the test.

Locations in all Postal Service areas are participating in the test, which runs May 2-July 29.

Brand Marketing, Retail Operations, Engineering, Supply Management and the Material Distribution Center are working together on this initiative.
