Postal Service hiring over 200 seasonal employees in Phoenix area

usps_logo_blue_hiring_jobs_2PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) – Those who would like some extra holiday cash may want to apply for a seasonal job with the United States Postal Service.

USPS is accepting online applications for more than 200 seasonal, non-career employees to work in Phoenix.

The Postal Service said applicants must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate. Background checks and drug tests will be conducted.

Starting pay ranges from $11 to $15.63 per hour and some positions include immediate health benefits.

Hours of work will vary based on mail volume but are expected to average approximately 30 to 48 hours per week, according to the agency. Most of the available positions involve the handling and processing of mail and require heavy lifting. Some retail support positions will also be available.

Those selected for these holiday positions will work approximately 56 days on a temporary basis during the holiday season.

Applications are being accepted through the end of October.
