(August 19, 2014) ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) â The postal employee accused of bringing a gun to work Monday says he didnât intend to hurt anyone but himself.
The man identified as Larry Lamascus is a vehicle maintenance worker at the shop next to the main post office on Broadway and mountain in downtown Albuquerque.
Lamascusâ supervisor says Lamascus pulled out a gun and pointed it at him then he wrestled it out of his hand. During the struggle, the gun went off. Lamascus says his intention was to kill himself in front of his supervisor, who he says hassled him over sick days.
Lamascus is charged with possessing a firearm in federal facility and assault of a federal employee.
Investigators say they did find a suicide note after Lamascusâ arrest.
