On Thursday afternoon, December 19, Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV), on behalf of Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Gary Peters (D-MI), moved that the Senate approve the nominations of Val Demings, William Zollars, Gordon Hartogensis and Anton Hajjar to the Postal Board of Governors. Ranking Committee Republican and incoming chairman, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) objected to the motion, stating that he wanted to reserve the nominees for President Elect Trump. As a result of Sen. Paul’s objection, President Trump will get to nominate the four members to board.
