The Maintenance Management Order (MMO-047-26) was issued by the Postal Service on July 7, 2026. Because this is a significant operational document with potential implications for Maintenance employees, the APWU Maintenance Division immediately began engaging with the Postal Service to review the changes, discuss implementation, and address concerns regarding workload, training, safety, and contractual compliance.
It is neither responsible nor in the best interest of our members to speculate or issue incomplete guidance before these discussions are concluded. Our priority is to ensure that employees receive accurate, verified information rather than assumptions or misinformation.
As additional information becomes available, the APWU Maintenance Division will promptly communicate updates and guidance through your National Business Agents and other official APWU communication channels.
The APWU remains committed to protecting the rights of Maintenance employees, ensuring proper implementation of operational changes, and advocating for appropriate training, safety, and adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
In Solidarity,
