The Postal Bulletin’s latest edition highlights driver safety and ways to avoid accidents on the road. December is USPS Motor Vehicle Safety Month, a time to remind employees to be vigilant behind the wheel.
Inclement weather, temporary workers and increased workloads historically contribute to increases in postal vehicle accidents during the month. USPS reported almost 27,000 motor vehicle accidents last year. Nearly half involved newer employees.
The cover story includes links to online driver safety resources and explains the importance of safe driving. The Dec. 8 issue also previews the forthcoming Love Skywriting stamp.
