Improper Job Postings

Automation jobs where recently posted with 8:00 to 4:30 reporting hours. The Plant Manager changed the Sunday hours to 12:00 to 4:30 after the jobs where awarded. After three weeks the hours where returned to all days with the same hours. Now, Management plans to repost jobs with a 8:00 to 4:30 reporting time, and a Sunday time of 1:00 to 9:30. This would be a 5 hour variance in daily reporting times, and would create a 7 hour difference when working a 10:00 shift. I would like enough supporting information to argue this situation with management.

    See Article 37.3.A.4 (Reposting). Your local agreement may also have information on regarding the reposting of hours within a duty assignment. This happened also at our plant last year. The duty assignment on Tour 1 automation was from 930pm to 600am. They just changed the hours on Sunday to 805pm to 430am. The local made an agreement that they had to pay out of schedule premium for the almost hour and 25 minute change until they decided if they wanted to repost the jobs per Article 37. That issue is also subject to local negotiation.
