Brothers and Sisters,
I have read with great interest the innuendos, assumptions, and in some cases, accusations against Tony D. McKinnon, Sr., Director of Industrial Relations and also the past President of the Fayetteville Area Local #984 for 30 years. I read your site quite frequently. I must say, I enjoy the dialogue between all. However, I was taken aback when I saw that someone had secured a copy of the locals LM3 Report, and immediately began, what appeared to me, to be a smear campaign.
I personally can attest that Tony D. McKinnon, Sr. has not received a salary from the local since leaving for the job at the APWU National HQs period. Please see the local executive board’s actions regarding Director McKinnon. I trust this will resolve any and all doubt about the money he received from the local. So for now, I wish you all a good night, and a great weekend.

How could someone properly collect terminal leave if they are still the president? Had Tony stepped down then the terminal leave could have been paid. Although, one would wonder how someone who campaigned nearly full-time and traveled for nearly three months before last election would have much leave left?
I’m not sure when Tony wrote this letter but the officers on the Executive Board who signed this letter were not on the 2013 LM report filed with the DOL at the time the letter was dated (November 12, 2013).
The LM report from 2013 and submitted by Tony, listed someone else as the clerk director, and there was no maintenance or MVS officers noted on the LM report at all.
However, the current clerk, maintenance and MVS Directors all signed the November 12, 2013 letter, when the official reports filed and signed by Tony does not list them as officers in 2013. And these current officers are only listed in later LM reports including last year.

See, there is a reasonable explanation: Rather than bankrupt the local as many have done. I know the national will not pay anyone unless they can prove they are on leave in a non pay status from their regular job – NO DOUBLE DIPPING.
