Attention: Disabled veterans & folks carrying FEDVIP Vision & Dental supplements through benefeds.gov
So, I made some calls this morning and confirmed that your FEDVIP vision & dental supplement policies (separate) can be continued in the PSHB program.
If you are a disabled veteran rated 100% P&T & have your dependents covered under CHAMPVA, you can discontinue your basic health plan and continue your FEDVIP dental or vision supplement plans. This way, you can keep your PPO provider for those services, if you choose to.
Getting dental care through the VA has very restrictive conditions that most will not qualify for but the vision is much better. To avoid any headaches in trying to find a provider, your best bet may be to carry that dental supplement.
