“Sisters and Brothers, last Tuesday, I sent out the explanation below of APWU President Mark Dimondsteinâs intention to propose the eliminate the Northeast Region Coordinator position upon the retirement of Coordinator John Dirzius at the end of this year. I have received many emails and phone calls at this point from Local Officers, all opposing the abolishment of this Executive Board position and merger of the Northeast Region Coordinator duties and responsibilities into the Eastern Region Coordinatorâs position.”

Disrespectful to eliminate a position that was filled by a dedicated Union man like John Dirzius. Sisters and Brothers of NE Region deserve the same representation as the rest of us. Letâs not argue against something (cut positions) and then do the same thing. Stop the political activity at Union Headquarters. Networking for future votes is suspicious.
