Dear APWU Sisters and Brothers,
We are very honored to be serving as elected leaders of our union. We have made substantial progress over the last few years even in these challenging and difficult times. Your union activism and efforts were key to this success! But our work is far from over. There are powerful forces determined to privatize the public postal service and destroy our union jobs — and the American Postal Workers Union. The APWU “Members Unity” Team is prepared to continue to meet the challenges of protecting a secure future for current, retired and next generation workers. We pledge to maintain the ongoing work and activist leadership to best protect our jobs, enforce our contract, fight back against post office closings, organize the unorganized, encourage young workers’ leadership and maximize PSE conversions to career. We will continue the crucial fight to defend and expand the public postal service. Our jobs depend on it!
