07/10/2015 – Dozens of people signed postcards declaring ‘I Stand with Postal Workers’ at the Alliance for Retired Americans’ Legislative and Political conference on July 7.  Seen here are retired members of the United Auto Workers from Ohio and Virginia.

“Conferences, festivals, fairs, shopping malls and post offices are all great places to take our message to the people and collect signatures,” said APWU President Mark Dimondstein. “I urge locals and union members to spread the word.”

The postcards say,

“I Stand with Postal Workers in the fight to keep post offices open and expand hours, for shorter wait time in line, prompt mail delivery, and enhanced services, such as postal banking. Good service is crucial to maintaining a vibrant, public Postal Service that connects residents and businesses in all areas and provides living-wage jobs that strengthen our communities!”
