The APWU of Florida 2015 Fall Seminar will be held August 13-15, 2015 at Hilton Westshore in Tampa (just 2 miles from the Tampa International Airport). APWU Members, Stewards and Officers from states outside of Florida are always welcome.
Instructors include APWU National and State officers and the Florida AFL-CIO. The Seminar includes a 3-Day intense and innovative workshop for APWU Organizers conducted by National Organizing Director Anna Smith and the AFL-CIO (Limited to 16 Students), “Duty of Fair Representation” presentation by APWU National Attorneys, the latest Contract Negotiation updates, and much more.
In all, we have 18 presentations and classes to choose from, designed for everyone from the new Steward to the seasoned Local President. We also offer specific Craft forums for the Clerk, Maintenance and Motor Vehicle Craft.
An Electronic Grievance System specialist will be on hand August 12, 13 and 14 for one-on-one EGS training.
On August 12, 2015, the Florida Presidents and Retiree Conferences will also be held on site. Presidents and Retirees from outside Florida are always welcome at both events.
The Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore hotel is located just two miles from Tampa International Airport. The hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle service and is just five miles from downtown Tampa attractions. Situated near International Plaza, Bay Street, Westshore Plaza Mall and Cigar City Brewery.
