Subject: COVID-19 and OWCP Claims

In 2020, the APWU sent out information on OWCP. We are sending out a copy of the letter originally sent to national officers, state, and local presidents. We are also attaching our updated OWCP write up.

Also, at the direction of President Mark Dimondstein a ZOOM training will be conducted on COVID-19 and OWCP claims. The training will be held on February 17, 2021, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm eastern time.

Registration links will be sent out as well as a link to registration for the training will be posted on the website. The training will be limited to the following:

  • State Presidents (or their designees)
  • Local Presidents (or their designees)
  • National Officers

All attendees must be approved prior to meeting access links being sent to them.

The documents attached and the training is for informational purposes only; it is not legal advice nor is it a directive/mandate for employees to file OWCP claims or for the Union to assist in OWCP claims.
