02/02/2015 – Carlos Paz has been appointed to the position of Maintenance Craft National Business Agent ‘B’ for the Southern Region, Director Steve Raymer has announced. The appointment is effective Feb. 7.

Paz will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Terry Martinez to Maintenance Craft Assistant Director on Jan. 5.

“I have complete confidence that Carlos will perform the duties of his office in an outstanding manner,” Raymer said. “I believe he will prove to be an asset to the entire American Postal Workers Union in the difficult times we are facing.

“As an arbitration advocate, Carlos has arbitrated over 100 cases and has presented issues throughout the Southern Region,” he said. “I believe he has the well-rounded knowledge and skill to become an asset to the Southern Region and to our Maintenance Council.”

A Postal Service employee since February 1996, Paz is presently an MPE-9 at the Dallas BMC. He has held various positions within the Dallas Area Local.
