APWU: Arbitration Advocacy Training – Atlanta – April 6-12

APWU_NEWS_5The Research & Education Department offers comprehensive training to APWU activists on a wide array of topics, dedicated to providing union officers and stewards with the skills they need to enforce the Collective Bargaining Agreement, motivate union members, and keep members informed about important issues and activities.

On April 6, the Research & Education Department will provide Arbitration Advocacy training to APWU arbitration advocates. These classes, which focus on the final step of the grievance-arbitration process, provide an in-depth look at case preparation. (Warning: These classes are not for the faint-hearted!)

This program is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of the techniques needed to effectively prepare a case for arbitration.

Classes start promptly at 7 p.m. on Monday evening. Students must be present for the entire training and must participate in a mock arbitration case on Saturday, April 11. 

Prerequisite: To attend the course, APWU members must provide a letter from their local or state president (on local or state letterhead) that authorizes their attendance.
