Subject: Addendum to VER/incentive Q and As

Union Family,

Please share with the field.  Attached is an addendum to the VER questions and answers.  This clarifies some issues around those employees who have reached minimum retirement age (MRA), are under age 60, and have 20 or more years regarding if the retirement is “VER” or “Optional”. It also clarifies whether employees who are in the “capped” groups are required to retire or not if they fall outside the cap.  These have been some of the most frequently asked questions the APWU has received. This should clarify those issues.
