In a former post (https://www.21cpw.com/a-pack-of-lies) I outlined for you the truth on a number of topics that my opponent has been lying about. Please check it out. Below I address further dishonesties that he is spreading. Apparently, “He Can’t Handle the Truth”.
8) My Opponent: No one from National was there during the Anthrax attack and closure of the Trenton plant.
I was there, I was in the building a number of times doing arbitrations during the identified period of contamination, when I was an NBA. I waited with hundreds of other Trenton employees for hours in long lines way out into the parking lot at the Robert Wood Johnson hospital and then waited longer once inside to be evaluated. I was put on a regiment of Cipro to kill the potential exposure from Anthrax spores, which made me very ill so they switched me over to a regiment of doxycycline.
It was raining on one day when I was in the facility and left an umbrella in the facility conference room. That umbrella was destroyed along with other Anthrax infected items.
I was there at the demonstrations in front of the Trenton plant to show my support for my Union Brothers and Sisters demanding the government clean up the facility and reopen it. At the rally, I was introduced to 1 of the 2 employees that had significant exposure but thankfully survived. I came to the meeting when former President Bill Burrus addressed the membership.
I later put together a PowerPoint on the Department of Justice 96 page report in their Amerithrax Investigation Summary and a conflicting study for the New Jersey State Convention.
I also spoke with Congressman Chris Smith, who is the Congressman for that District, on these issues as well.
9) My Opponent: He claims he won the Anthrax related Travel Case
When the Trenton facility was closed because of the Anthrax attack employees were told to report to other installations and were not being paid travel pay.
I informed my opponent the employees had entitlements to travel pay. I sent him the Step 4s and all the arbitral citations that he was unaware of on travel pay. These are the precedent setting and persuasive citations that were used in the arbitration of the Trenton travel case which lead to a $5.3 million win.
Now my opponent claims he won that case. That is untrue. I told my opponent I wanted to handle that case when it came up for arbitration as I evaluated it to be an easy win for our members.
Instead NBA Jeff Kehlert got the date, was the advocate and won the case. Check it out on SEARCH.
10) My Opponent: Claims I have been retired for 2 decades
I did retire from the USPS when there was an excessing event going on in the Philadelphia District, in order to perhaps create an additional landing spot for an impacted employee; it clearly was not over 20 years ago.
I do note that if my opponent is anti-retiree in regard to National Officers, I assume he will not be, and his Local and State organization will not be endorsing and voting for the Vice Presidential candidate from his home local, Jeff Kehlert, as Jeff has been retired for years.
I would also assume my opponent will not be voting for our beloved President Mark Dimondstein, but I certainly will be, along with all the other members of the Members Unity Team.
When he claims I have been retired for 2 decades, that’s a lie.
While my opponent complains to anyone who will listen to him that the National Union wasn’t there for the members during the Anthrax period, and includes me, that is a lie.
When he posts that HE won $5.3 million in the Trenton travel case, that’s a lie.
