The APWU of Florida 2016 Fall Seminar will be held October 27-29, 2016 at the Hilton in Ocala, FL. APWU Members, Stewards and Officers from outside Florida are always welcome.
Instructors include APWU National and State officers and the Florida AFL-CIO. The Seminar is 3 days of intense and innovative training including The New Contract, Organizing and the APWU Health Plan, Using MDAT to create Clerk Craft Duty Assignments, Establishing Skilled Maintenance Jobs (Including an update on the MS-1), Using Microsoft Excel, and much more.
In all, we have 18 presentations and classes to choose from. There are training opportunities here for the beginning or advanced Steward and everyone in between. An Electronic Grievance System specialist will be on hand October 26, 27 and 28 for one-on-one EGS assistance. We also offer Craft-specific training for Clerk, Maintenance and Motor Vehicle Crafts.
Just prior to the Seminar, on October 26, the Florida Presidents Conference and the Florida Retiree Conference will also be held on site. Presidents and Retirees outside Florida are always welcome at both events.
